Description: Grove City College seeks a dedicated professional for the role of Director of the Imago Dei Office and SEVIS Coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position include documenting, recruiting, caring for, and aiding in the success of international students. This position also advances the College’s commitment to biblical unity, student flourishing, and global engagement by providing vision and leadership for the Imago Dei Office. The Director supports international and minority students in their transition to campus life; coordinates care for these students and leads the International Student Care Team to optimize services. As the College’s lead Designated School Official (DSO), the Director ensures the College’s compliance with F-1 visa regulations and SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) reporting requirements.
The Director develops and implements programs to welcome and support international students, such as pre-arrival communications, airport transportation, orientation, social events, and ongoing discipleship. Additionally, the Director advises three student organizations and serves as a visible resource for biblical unity across campus.
Requirements: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (master’s degree in student development, Student Affairs, or a related field preferred) and possess 2-5 years of experience working with college students in student development or international/minority student support. Experience with SEVIS, F-1 visa regulations, and international student advising is required, along with demonstrated skills in program development, event planning, and cross-cultural communication. Essential strengths include the ability to connect with diverse populations, collaborate across campus, and communicate effectively with exceptional attention to detail. Knowledge of student development theories and practices, a self-starter mentality, and enthusiasm for learning are critical.
The successful candidate will embody strong integrity, professionalism, and Christian commitment consistent with the mission of Grove City College. They will demonstrate maturity, moral judgment, and a passion for advancing biblical unity within the Body of Christ. Technical proficiency with relevant software and excellent decision-making, verbal, and written communication skills are expected. Above all, the Director must bring a deep commitment to serving international and minority students, fostering unity through Christ, and advancing the mission and values of Grove City College.
