Title: Public Safety Patrolman Office/Department: Campus Safety Department
Grove City College is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time uniformed Patrolmen within the Department of Campus Safety. We are seeking individuals who exemplify integrity, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate these qualities.
Description: The Patrolman is responsible for safeguarding life and property, maintaining public order, preventing and responding to criminal activity, and upholding the College’s standards of conduct. This role serves the campus community by ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Patrol duties are conducted on foot, by bicycle, and by vehicle. Additionally, Patrolmen are expected to staff the department’s dispatch center as needed.
The Department of Campus Safety operates 24/7, and this position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including midnights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements: A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required. A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission and vision of Grove City College is required. The successful candidate must be able to complete First Aid/CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed certification within one year of hire and must be willing and able to work 24/7, including midnights, weekends, and holidays. Prior college education, public safety, or law enforcement experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
