Grove City College is seeking full-time Campus Safety patrolmen to join its growing team. We are looking for service-minded individuals who exemplify integrity, courage, compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Description: Our Campus Safety members are responsible for collaborating with others to ensure a safe and secure campus environment for over 2,300 students, staff, and visitors to the college. Patrolmen and officers are responsible for safeguarding life and property, maintaining public order, preventing, detecting, and responding to criminal activity, and upholding the College’s standards of conduct. This role serves the campus community by ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Patrol duties are conducted by foot and vehicle. An optional bicycle patrol is also available. Additionally, patrolmen may be expected to staff the department’s dispatch center as needed.
Requirements: A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required. Eligibility for Act 235 firearms certifications is required and must be completed within six months of employment. Act 235 training, certification, and recertifications are provided by the department for those who are eligible. A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission, vision, and statement of faith of Grove City College is required. The successful candidate must be able to complete First Aid/CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed certification within one year. The Department of Campus Safety operates 24/7, and this position requires and provides flexibility to work various shifts. Overtime is available but not mandated. Prior public safety, law enforcement, or experience working security on a college campus is strongly preferred. Promotion potential and additional paid training are available.
