Grove City College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Hopeman School of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Hopeman School Dean, the Dean of the Calderwood School of Arts and Letters, and the Dean of the Business School report directly to the Provost, and along with Assistant Deans form the key academic administrative team for the college.
Hopeman School features:
The Hopeman School houses the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Exercise Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, and Physics. The Dean must be a leader and collaborator that facilitates the collective effort of the approximately 60 faculty to cultivate a Christ-centered environment where undergraduate teaching and research are valued and supported. In this role, the Dean advocates for the school’s vision and strategic plan, supervises the hiring of new faculty, works to assess and improve faculty performance in teaching, research, and service, manages the Hopeman School budget, and oversees curriculum development, in addition to periodically teaching courses in his or her academic discipline. The new Dean will lead the Hopeman School during an exciting time, with several rapidly growing departments, the upcoming opening of a $48 million renovated science building, and opportunities to explore new programs that can broaden the school’s offerings and maintain its attractiveness to students for years to come.
