Position: Assistant/Associate Professor of Music

Grove City College is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Music beginning in the fall of the 2026-27 academic year. Preference is given to candidates possessing a Ph.D. or D.M.A. in music education.
Teaching assignments will include undergraduate music pedagogy courses, coordinating the music education program, including student teacher placements, field experiences, and coordinating observations with other music education faculty. The ability to direct a women’s vocal ensemble is highly valued. The role involves interacting with local public-school teachers, advising undergraduate music education majors, advising the college’s PCMEA student chapter, and serving as the liaison to the Department of Education.
Additional duties include participation in music department activities, such as recruiting, audition committees, recital committees, curriculum review, and other duties as needed. Attendance at concerts, recitals, and other music events is expected. Candidates must be committed to teaching highly motivated students at a Christian liberal arts institution. A proven record of scholarship and performance, as well as sustained excellence in teaching, are highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Grove City College Department of Music is a robust and collegial community of scholars, performers, and pedagogues. It includes eight full-time faculty, 31 part-time faculty, and two staff, as well as five undergraduate degrees, two minors, and approximately 270 students (majors, minors, lessons, and ensembles).
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
