Position: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of History

Grove City College is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position beginning in July 2026 in the Department of History from scholars whose teaching and research focus on modern European history (1750-present). Additional expertise in a non-Western field, such as Asia or Africa, is preferred. We are looking for a colleague with a strong record of undergraduate teaching and solid scholarship to join a robust and collegial community of scholars. Candidates must commit to teaching highly motivated students at a Christian liberal arts institution. Faculty members are expected to teach a 4/4 load. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in Modern Europe and a non-Western field, develop upper-division courses in their specialist field(s), and share in a rotation of teaching our Senior Capstone Seminar. Additionally, the candidate will participate in Grove City College’s Humanities Program by teaching the 200-level Western Civilization course.
