Department of Philosophy ​​

The Department of Philosophy at Grove City College provides students the opportunity to examine essential ideas of human thought and ethical action from a Christian perspective and prepares them to excel in varied careers and top graduate and professional programs.

Philosophy is something our students do – a way of engaging in rational inquiry. More than just studying philosophical movements and thinkers, students gain a firm grounding in logic and question the philosophical underpinnings of a wide array of disciplines including language, religion, politics and law.

The Department of Philosophy at Grove City College invites critical interaction and debate among students with differing perspectives.

Minor in Philosophy

​Students complete 18 credit hours of course requirements to minor in philosophy.

 

Minor in Political Philosophy and Theology

​To minor in political philosophy/theology, students must complete 18 credit hours of course requirements.

 

B.A. in Philosophy

​The Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy requires 30 credit hours of coursework in addition to the College core curriculum.
