At Grove City College, we believe that worshiping together regularly is a fundamental piece to developing students who are able to think creatively and critically about issues they will face in and beyond the classroom. The College is undenominational, keeping to the vision of our founders of creating an inclusive Christian society that transcends denomination, creeds, and confessions and that the claims of Christ as God and Savior and of inspired Scripture be presented to all.Our unique Chapel program goes beyond traditional worship, hosting and offering credit for a range of additional events such as convocation programs, alternative services, musical performances, Sunday vespers, and talks by Christian thought leaders from local, national, and international communities. Such a variety of chapel opportunities inspire students to discover their calling and to think broadly about themes currently impacting the world such as diversity, faith tradition, international affairs, and business ethics. And since 75% of these programs are created and led by students, we are proud to say that the Grove City College Chapel program is much more than a traditional church service component to our learning environment.
Chapel attendance is a required component of a liberal arts education at Grove City College. Services are held twice weekly in the beautiful, awe-inspiring Harbison Chapel.
