The Department of Mathematics at Grove City College prepares students to excel in graduate and postgraduate study and for immediate employment in a wide variety of industries including education, computer and information sciences, actuarial science and business.

Mathematics is the language of science and a necessary ingredient for preparing to live in a dynamic, technological age. Combined with the College’ core curriculum, students majoring in mathematics are able to integrate their specialized understanding of mathematics into the entire range of human knowledge and behavior.

The Department offers a traditional and challenging curriculum offering courses in both pure and applied mathematics. Graduates of the program are valued by employers for their problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.  ​
