Brian Powell ’03 has rejoined the Development Office of Grove City College as the senior director of development.
“We are very excited to have Brian back on the team,” Vice President for Advancement Jeff Prokovich ’89 said. “Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the department that will help the College complete our current Grove City College Matters Capital Campaign.
Powell comes from Carnegie Mellon University where he joined their staff in 2010 as a gift officer, eventually becoming a member of the major gifts team. Powell got his start in development in 2004 when he worked at the College as a development associate supporting grant writing, development event planning and prospect research.
“The seeds were planted for a lifelong passion for higher education right here at Grove City College,” Powell says. He traces it all back to when he was a junior at the College and a resident assistant in Memorial Hall. Powell praised the lifelong memories and friendships he made, along with underclassmen along their journey.
Powell joined the College in the final leg of the Grove City Matters Campaign and knows that closing it is important. His vision is to continue to strategically engage alumni, parents and friends in meaningful ways to yield tangible, sustainable results for our students and faculty. “I look forward to giving our alumni, parents and friends opportunities to contribute to the betterment of the College and advancement of our mission."
