At Grove City College, education majors prepare for a fulfilling career in public, private, and non-traditional educational settings.
We believe that the practical application of learning best equips students for excellence. Our field-based program affords students the opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels throughout their undergraduate career.
Students work with an esteemed and specialized faculty who possess classroom experience to build foundational skills. Beginning freshman year, students gain experience in our on-site early education school and in surrounding school districts.
Outside the classroom, our state-of-the-art curriculum library is a unique community space where students have access to a wealth of education materials and collaborate with one another.
Grove City College offers specialized career planning and advice for students and alumni through the Director of Education and Career Development providing students with a range of career development resources such as resume counseling, conferences, job fairs, on-site interviews, and summer employment.
Students graduating from Grove City College have the opportunity to become certified teachers in Pennsylvania and are assisted by a dedicated certification officer in completing the process. The department assists students in transferring or gaining certification to other states or internationally.
The Office of Education Career Services offers outstanding career development and networking opportunities to students and fosters relationships with private, public, charter, and international schools as well as other education employers.
