Description:The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Life & Learning (SLL) plays a vital role in supporting student development initiatives and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the Student Life & Learning department. This position provides comprehensive administrative assistance to the Vice President, manages office functions, and serves as a welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Vice President, assisting with budget monitoring and financial processes, managing student database systems, and supporting Student Engagement and Residence Life functional operations. The role also helps coordinate major campus events such as GCC Launch and Commencement, oversees office communications and departmental email accounts, updates website and parent portal content, and assists with editing SLL and campus publications. Additional duties include generating departmental reports, supporting assessment efforts, coordinating reception desk coverage, assisting students experiencing personal crises, managing the College’s airport transportation program, and collaborating with the Academic Resource Center to address student early alerts. The Executive Assistant also ensures the SLL staff remain informed of relevant events and policy updates and contributes to the division’s commitment to excellent service, radical hospitality, discipleship, and consistent faithful support of our students and the broader campus community.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 3-5 years of experience in office management or administrative support are required. Proficiency in computer applications and office software is essential, along with excellent communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and grace. A strong personal faith and demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission and vision of Grove City College are essential.
