Department of Music

The Department of Music at Grove City College prepares students for culturally rich and successful careers in music.

Offering a wide range of courses, students are given the academic freedom to choose an applied concentration within the Bachelor of Music degree: Music/Business, Music/Education, Music and Performing Arts or Music/Religion. The department also offers a music minor. Students also deepen their knowledge through varied ensemble opportunities such as Chapel Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Wolverine Marching Band, Symphonic Concert Band, Touring Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band.

Respected and well-connected faculty mentor students as they take advantage of top-of-the-line performance spaces and cutting-edge technology at Pew Fine Arts Center, which houses the 700-seat Ketler Auditorium, Miriam Shellito Parker ’52 organ, black-box theatre, recital hall, rehearsal hall, soundproof practice rooms, technology lab, and complete theatre facilities including a set construction shop, costume shop and dressing rooms. Auditions for admission to the music program are required, either in person or by recording.
