The Bachelor of Arts degree in French equips students to become skilled participants in today’s increasingly complex and interconnected world and prepares them to excel in both graduate study and a wide variety of careers. Students complete 24 credit hours of course requirements in addition to the College core curriculum. While
most students begin their coursework at the 200 or 300 level, with careful
planning it is possible to begin with French 101 in the freshman fall and
complete the major in four years. The program accommodates study abroad, which is recommended though not required, and allows for the completion of double majors.
Please refer to the College Bulletin or the major status sheet for complete information regarding major requirements.
