If you are an international student, we welcome your application and hope you will consider joining our vibrant student body. See below for application guidelines specific to international applicants.

Apply

Please note: Grove City College defines an international student as one whose current citizenship is outside of the United States of America.

How to Apply

Complete the online application form and submit the following required documents. To see which of your documents have been received or are still pending, please log in to your application portal.

  • One letter of recommendation as listed below. The College does not provide specific forms for recommendation letters.
    • Academic reference from a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal.

Admissions Requirements

The Office of Admissions considers each applicant individually using the following criteria:

  • Graduation from and recommendation by an approved secondary school.
    • Taking an academic or college preparatory course is strongly recommended and should include English, history, mathematics, and foreign language.
    • The study of mathematics up through calculus is required and/or recommended for entrance into the programs of mathematics, science, and engineering.
  • Test Scores (see below).
  • Recommendation letter evidencing excellent character and spiritual life.

International applicants are required to submit test scores from one of the following exams:

  • Academic Assessments

Financial Aid

The College offers a limited amount of need-based aid to students who are academically prepared and demonstrate financial need. Partial need-based aid, which is applied directly to the cost of tuition, is applied each year. Students must maintain at least a 2.00 cumulative grade point average and successfully complete at least 24 credits each academic year to remain eligible for financial aid. Students must continue to show financial need and submit the International Student Financial Aid Application annually.

Work Opportunities

The College offers work opportunities on campus to provide financial assistance to students. By working five hours weekly, a student can earn approximately $1,500 during the academic year. Students are paid monthly for the number of hours they work and may use the money as needed for college-related expenses. Freshmen may work up to 10 hours a week, and upperclassmen may work up to 20 hours a week.

International students may stay on campus during campus breaks with approval from the Director of Residence Life. However, all other options should be explored first prior to seeking approval to remain on campus. However, students desiring to stay on campus during the Summer must meet the following criteria: On-campus employment or college internship for credit. Students employed on campus during the summer must work a minimum of 32.5 hours per week to be eligible for summer housing.

International students can apply for on-campus work through the Office of Financial Aid. For additional information on financial aid and work opportunities, contact the office at 724-458-3300 or financialaid@gcc.edu.

An incoming freshman student must be accepted to Grove City College and have paid the nonrefundable deposit of $250.00 by the application deadline deposit date. The SEVIS I-20 will be issued after the student pays for the first semester fees along with the cost of health insurance. All arrangements must be complete before a student arrives at the College.
