Business and leadership consultant Jack Barry ’62 will address “Entrepreneurial Success: Navigating the Journey” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, in Sticht Lecture Hall of the Hall of Arts and Letters on campus. The presentation is part of the 2012-13 Visionary Entrepreneur Speaker Series hosted by The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Grove City College and is free and open to the public.
Barry is a co-author of Leadership Defined, Conversations on Faith, Mission Possible and The Nuts and Bolts of Business. He has a long history of public speaking nationally and internationally. For more than 15 years, he was the CEO of Petroleum Information Corp. and The Systems Center Inc.
Barry’s philosophies regarding leadership, management, customers, employees and shareholders are based on 38 years of first-hand experiences and success. His experiences spanned the United States Navy, Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Xerox and Harris through mid-size companies and even entrepreneurial start-up companies.
Currently, he is leading the Business Plan Contest at Houston Community College. Along with Richard Tyler International, Barry co-facilitates corporate education courses in leadership and sales. In addition, he served on Grove City College’s Entrepreneurship Advisory Council.
