How big of a role did affordability play in your college decision making process?
Price is, of course, a large concern in choosing a college. I chose Grove City College because I am confident that the investment is worth it, and with the conviction that my money is purchasing me a high-level education combined with excellent moral values.

Do you feel like you made any concessions to come to a school that is reasonably priced?
Not at all. In fact, choosing this school not only meant my tuition was affordable, it meant I could attend a Christian school and interact with others in a beneficial environment.

What are some of the ways you have been spiritually engaged while at Grove City College?
Bible studies, Warriors worship, chapels, and vespers all definitively engage students spiritually, encouraging growth and wholesome community.

How is faith incorporated in the classroom?
Faith is a huge part of each professor’s life, and they do not hesitate to incorporate their beliefs in the classroom. As a physics major, my faith and worldview has been important in my classes because of how they mold my understanding of the world.

What drew you to choose physics as your major?
Since I was young, I’ve possessed a love for math and understanding how the world around me works. When reviewing potential majors, physics stood out to me as an unparalleled opportunity to increase my technical knowledge enormously. With my B.S. in physics, I hope to pursue further education in medical physics.

How do the academics challenge students to think on a deeper level about the world and life in general?
One of the most attractive aspects of Grove City College was its liberal arts attitude towards academics. I’ve developed a love of learning that spans much more than my major-specific classes. At Grove City College, humanities and other liberal arts courses encourage students to expand their thinking and pursue knowledge. The relationship between students and professors is awesome.

What advice would you give to an incoming student?
Pray that God will guide you at the College into beneficial relationships, and that He will put people in your life that encourage you in your faith. Prepare for rigorous academics but make sure you join extracurricular groups. They’re great for building friendships and taking a break from school.
