Orchesis rolls out the red carpet for ‘Premiere Night’

Grove City College’s Orchesis dance show runs Thursday, Nov. 29 to Saturday, Dec. 1 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.

This year’s theme of “Premiere Night” puts hit songs from musicals and movies in motion through a variety of dance styles, including jazz, hip-hop and tango. The show includes popular tracks from “La La Land” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Student choreographers for the show are Gretchen Stockschlaeder ’19 of Eden, N.Y., Maddison Reapsome ’19 of Carlisle, Pa., Jared Kettinger ’21 of Rochester, N.Y., Gabriella Ross ’21 of Worthington, Ohio, Paige Stitt ’21 of Gibsonia, Pa., Abigail Parsons ’21 of Valencia, Pa., Makayla Himes ’20 of Butler, Pa., Ashley Raine ’19 of Prospect, Pa., Gabriella Ross ’21 of Worthington, Ohio, Abigail Thompson ’19 of Bethel Park, Pa., Caroline Coulter ’19 of Grove City, Pa., and Brianne Crouthamel ’19 of Madison, Va. Kate Lonergan ’19 of Murrysville, Pa. is head choreographer.

Orchesis showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, Friday, Nov. 30 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.  The shows are free and open to the public.
