Grove City College hosts Exercise Science Symposium

Grove City College will host an Exercise Science Symposium on Thursday, March 3, on campus in the Hall of Arts and Letters’ Sticht Lecture Hall and Breen Student Union’s Great Room.

The “Everyday Fitness” symposium will highlight current research findings and developments in the field of exercise science, provide networking opportunities and include a panel discussion and presentations from several leading sports medicine professionals, including:

     • Amanda Mercer – B.S. in exercise science from Grove City College; certified strength and conditioning specialist; LTS master trainer.
     • Megan Herbstritt – General manager at Faster Pittsburgh.
     • Dr. Lyneil Mitchell – Physical therapist from Revolution Physical Therapy.
     • Paige Whitmire – Registered dietitian from One-on-One Fitness.

The symposium is hosted by the Grove City College Exercise Science Club, which aims to promote health and fitness efforts on campus and in the community by providing events and educational opportunities. The event is open to the public, but registration is required.
