Grove City College ranked among the 50 most affordable bachelor's in economics programs for 2020 by Great Value Colleges.
“We’re grateful to receive further recognition of the value proposition of Grove City College: An excellent education at an affordable price,” Dr. Jeffrey Herbener, chair and professor of Economics and Sociology at Grove City College said.
Grove City College offers two bachelors’ in economics programs: A Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. Students enrolled in the first are required to take economics core courses such as Economic Thought Since 1870, Foundations of Economics and Introduction to Econometrics. Those enrolled in the Business Economics option will also fulfill a business core, including courses such as Global Business Issues, Legal Environment of Business, Business Policy and Strategy and Business Computer Applications.
The ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator Database and was based on the following: tuition, student-to-faculty ratio, return on investment, student support network, concentrations/specializations, accreditation, campus diversity support network and "wow" factor.
