Grove City College partners with LdM Institute in Italy to allow students to study abroad at a significantly reduced tuition price. All majors can apply to LdM, and the institute offers a wide range of courses, including courses in the STEM fields. LdM also offers a unique "three cities" program that allows students to study in three different locations during their semester abroad and offers housing and meal resources at very competitive prices. The many Grove City College students that have studied abroad via LdM attest to the fact that this program is an excellent value. Korean Studies Summer Program (BIP)
The Korean Studies Summer Program, also known as the Bahrom International Program (BIP), is a unique opportunity provided by Seoul Women’s University (SWU) to foreign students. Participants learn about Korean lifestyle, historical and religious background, and economics as well as the country's political tension with North Korea. Participants also explore Korean art and language and the city of Seoul to achieve a better understanding of Korean culture. The goal is to develop a genuine interest in Korea and a deeper comprehension of Korea’s role today.
The four-week intensive program takes place during the month of July. Classes are taught in English, and participants are matched with a Korean partner, who is an SWU exchange student. Grove City College students who are approved for this program receive a scholarship that covers all costs except airfare and spending money. They also receive three credits that transfer back to Grove City College. It is a great opportunity to travel at a very low cost!
In exchange, a student from SWU studies for one full academic year at Grove City College each year. Information on how to apply to this program is available in the Office of International Education early in the spring semester. Applicants are chosen and notified by mid-spring semester for the summer program each year. Both male and female students are encouraged to participate.
