Position: Music Instructor, Guitar
Grove City College invites applications for a part-time lesson instructor of Guitar in the Department of Music. The successful candidates will teach applied guitar to a studio of undergraduate music majors, music minors, and non-majors. Additional duties will include teaching two sections of Guitar 1 and one section of Guitar 2 each semester. Additional duties may include participation in audition committees, communication with prospective guitar students, and coordinating with the instrumental faculty on ensemble needs. Preference is given to candidates who have experience in teaching styles including classical, worship, jazz, and those appropriate to future music educators in PreK-12 education systems. Preference is also given to candidates with a Master of Music degree in guitar or a related field and experience teaching applied guitar. College or university teaching experience is desirable.
