Title: Mechatronics Engineer
Office/Department: Engineering Staff Position
Description: Grove City College seeks a mechatronics staff engineer to support our instructional activities in mechanical and electrical engineering. Expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems is required. Responsibilities will include maintaining the Mechatronics Lab, supporting robotics projects, BEST Robotics competitions, developing and designing instructional projects and supporting faculty research projects. Must be able to work with both faculty and students in an instructional environment. Experience with microcontrollers and sensor hardware and software required.
Requirements: This position requires a BS degree in ME, EE or related field. Must be proficient with typical mechanical and electrical engineering laboratory equipment. Programming experience in C++, LabVIEW, ROS, Matlab and/or Python is desirable. Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) is desirable. Candidates should have good communication, teamwork, and creative thinking skills. Must be a self-directed learner with a passion for education.
