Title: Part-time Earl Education Center Aide
Description: This position will be responsible for assisting the teacher in the provision of a developmentally appropriate program, and enable children to acquire academic, physical, emotional, social and spiritual skills through play-based curriculum and instruction in conjunction with the classroom teacher and Education Coordinator. The Teacher Assistant will assist children, staff, and college students in the classroom, as well as work with the teaching staff in preparing the learning environment to reflect the philosophy of the EEC and the Education Department. This position is for the 2021-22 school year.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or certification in early childhood education or child development and prior experience in an early childhood setting preferred. Successful candidate must know how to teach to support developmentally appropriate practices and possess verbal and written competence with children, families, and colleagues. Must possess and utilize decision making skills within a busy classroom environment. Education department clearances are required.
