Mike Pence returning to Grove City College

Vice President Mike Pence will be back at Grove City College this fall in his role as a distinguished visiting fellow for the Center for Faith & Public Life.

Pence has been affiliated with the College since 2024 and has taught political science courses on faith and public life, led seminars and mentored students, helped host Grove City’s annual Ronald Reagan Lecture, and provided leadership through the Center, which encourages the expression and influence of Christian faith in American society.

“I am honored to return to Grove City College’s classrooms this fall as a distinguished visiting fellow for the Center for Faith & Public Life and look forward to my third year as part of this truly unique Christian college,” Pence said.

Pence hailed the College’s record of advancing conservative and Christian values while providing an excellent and affordable education.

“The stakes for America’s rising generation could not be higher. Grove City College’s Christ-centered, world-class education is more important now than ever before and I am humbled to continue to play a small role in training up future leaders who will impact our Nation in faith and the public square,” Pence said.

“Vice President Pence has become a valued member of the Grove City College community through the wisdom, encouragement, and personal investment he brings to our students,” said President Bradley Lingo ’00. “His example of faithful leadership and service to the common good is one that I hope inspires our students as we prepare them to serve and lead.”

The Center for Faith & Public Life is part of the College’s conservative think tank The Center for Faith & Freedom, which is dedicated to advancing the vision and values that undergird American freedom.

In addition to serving as vice president during President Donald Trump’s first term, Pence was governor of Indiana and elected to six terms in Congress, where he served as chairman of the House Republican Study Committee. He is known for his commitment to the Christian faith and advocacy for traditional conservative political values.

In 2021, he founded Advancing American Freedom, a policy and advocacy organization committed to traditional conservative ideals that are” bigger than any one moment, election, or person.”
