Princeton Review again names Grove City College one of its best

Grove City College is one of America’s best, according to The Princeton Review’s just-released “The Best 382 Colleges” 2018 guidebook.

The influential guide selects the best of the best from more than 2,500 four-year colleges and universities, placing Grove City in the nation’s top 15 percent. The College is also identified as a “Best Northeastern” school and a “College That Pays You Back” in the educational testing and prep company’s annual rundown of top colleges and universities.

Outstanding academics, interesting professors, Christian community and high-quality campus life are among the factors that students value most at Grove City College, according to Princeton Review. “The low cost of tuition is just gravy, as is the strong alumni network and great reputation with employers,” it concludes.

“When it comes to challenging students to grow intellectually and spiritually, our high standards produce outstanding outcomes resulting in well-prepared graduates eager to pursue their life’s calling,” College President Paul J. "We chose Grove City College for this book because it offers outstanding academics, “Robert Franek, Princeton Review's editor-in-chief, said. Princeton Review surveys college administrators, visits campuses, relies on staff reports and a 24-member National College Counselor Advisory Board to select colleges and universities for the guide, Franek said. “Most importantly, we look at valuable feedback we get from each school’s customers – our surveys of students attending them.”

At Grove City College, faculty and students create a vibrant and uplifting community that challenges students to grow intellectually, spiritually and emotionally, Princeton Review reports. Professors know their course material and are willing to personally invest in students and challenge them to ask “hard questions,” according to the guide.

According to Princeton Review’s survey, at Grove City College:

• Classroom facilities are great.
• Faculty are engaging, approachable and knowledgeable.
• Career services are great and internships are widely available.
• Students are religious and generally conservative.
• Intramural sports and theater are popular.
