New professors join Grove City College faculty ranks

Grove City College welcomes four new professors to the faculty ranks this fall. The new faculty will augment the College’s roster of Christian scholars in the departments of Psychology, Accounting and Finance, Modern Languages and English.

The new professors are:

• Dr. Lucian Gideon Conway III, professor of Psychology. Conway earned his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of British Columbia. His primary academic interests revolve around the psychology of culture and politics. Conway is the author of over 80 articles, commentaries, and book chapters in these areas. His work has been featured in outlets including The Washington Post, The New York Times, Psychology Today, USA Today, the Ben Shapiro Podcast, and Heterodox Academy. He also serves as an associate editor for the flagship journal of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, the world’s largest academic society for social psychologists.
• Keith Graybill ’96, assistant professor of Accounting. Graybill graduated from Grove City College a degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics and earned an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from Johns Hopkins University. He brings over two decades of financial and business operations leadership and extensive experience in scaling business operations. Most recently Graybill served as COO at Nimbis Services, Inc., a small business government contractor, where he directed the overall operations and helped scale the operations during a period of enormous revenue growth. Prior to that, Graybill served as vice president for Finance & Administration at the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and served as pastor of operations at McClean (Va.) Bible Church.
• Dr. Aileen R. Ruane, assistant professor of French. Ruane completed her doctorate in Literary Studies at Université Laval, Quebec, and specializes in contemporary Francophone theatre and literature. She is interested in comparative literature, translation, and performance studies. She earned her B.A. in Theatre Studies with a minor in French from Kent State University and her M.A. in French Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Ruane has worked with various language immersion programs in Quebec and frequently presents her research with academic associations like the International Federation for Theatre Research and the Canadian Association for Irish Studies.
• Dr. Annie Shepherd, assistant professor of English. Shepherd completed her doctorate in creative writing and literature at the University Houston in May and will teach writing and literature. Her specialization is fiction writing, and her research interests include narrative theory and history of the novel. An award-winning writer, her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in North American Review, The Greensboro Review, and North Dakota Quarterly, among other journals. Before getting into fiction writing, Shepherd taught ESL in China for two years and has taught community creative writing workshops for a variety of ages, from elementary-age children to retired adults.
