The Grove City College branch of the CMDA supports the mission of the international organization “to change hearts in healthcare.”
The College chapter holds weekly meetings to discuss ethical issues in healthcare and medical research, spiritual components of medical vocations, work through study packets, pray for the community, and engage in mentorship.
CMDA also hosts speakers and special events for students interested in medical school or other graduate programs and undergraduate missional programs. They help connect students with professionals for potential shadowing experiences and provide opportunities for students to take part in the annual Global Missions Health Care Conference.
The PHS helps you make the most out of your academic experience by utilizing the knowledge and wisdom of your upper-level peers to encourage and help you through your years at Grove City College.
Advised by faculty members, the organization’s executive committee appoints ambassadors from the senior class according to their area of specialty to act as representatives for students with an interest in pursuing a career in a health field.
PHS activities include mock interview days, application and personal statement workshops to prepare students for the professional and graduate school application process. The group also hosts alumni and guest speakers who often serve as a networking resource for students.
The PHPAC is comprised of faculty and staff members who can best help you identify opportunities and guide you through your course of study.
The Committee coordinates all activities relating to curricular advising of pre-health students, including providing information to pre-health advisors and students about the various academic options a student might take in preparation for a health career.
The Pre-Health Coordinator manages the internal pre-health website which provides students with valuable information on opportunities for job shadowing, internships, affiliation programs, upcoming events, and other important resources.
