Robert Myer

Education:

Professional Experience: 

Robb brings 20 years of experience as a startup founder, mentor, investor, and ecosystem builder to Grove City College. 

Robb is the co-founder of NoWait, Curb.AI, Comeback Capital, Finish Robotics, and Copilot Capital Partners. He is best known for co-founding the SaaS restaurant app NoWait in 2010. NoWait was Pittsburgh’s Startup of the Year in 2014 and was acquired by restaurant review site Yelp in 2017. 

After selling NoWait, Robb returned to his alma mater, Carnegie Mellon University, as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. While at CMU’s Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, he started VentureBridge alumni accelerator in Silicon Valley. While at CMU, Robb also formed the CMU alumni angel investing syndicate, 99 Tartans, and helped to spin out the autonomous drone company Gather AI

Robb was first introduced to the Praxis Redemptive Business Frame while serving as a Fellow at The King’s College in New York City in 2017. Since then, he has been passionate about applying these principles in his own ventures and helping other founders apply this radical approach to entrepreneurship and life. 

Robb holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a BS in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida. 

Robb was the recipient Carnegie Science Center Entrepreneur of the Year award and finalist for the Earnst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. The University of South Florida recognized Robb with an Entrepreneurship Achievement award. They twice awarded NoWait as one of the fastest 10 growing alumni companies.

Robb enjoys mountain biking, pickleball and traveling with his wife and two kids. 

He is excited to serve and equip the founder communities at Grove City College and Pittsburgh as they build for the common good.

What is the most important piece of advice you give to students?
Do the work. Entrepreneurship is an activity that requires action. Build something that people want and fixes something broken in the world.
