Title: Maintenance Technician – Plumbing Specialty Office/Department: MaintenanceDescription: This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, installing, and implementing solutions related to the Campus plumbing systems, including but not limited to domestic water and sanitary systems. This position will perform plumbing related tasks necessary to keep all College facilities in good working order. This position is also responsible for all other maintenance tasks as asked or assigned, which may include but are not limited to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance, and general labor.Requirements: This position requires an associate degree or equal and relevant, verifiable job experience, preferably in Plumbing Technology. Required to obtain/retain certification to test and certify backflow preventers of all types and prepare all associated documentation. The qualified candidate will have five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience with plumbing systems in a commercial or industrial setting. Must have strong communication and organizational skills and ability to interact with administration, staff, students, and the public. Must have the ability to lift and carry 70 lbs., work with maintenance tools and supplies in confined areas including manholes, tunnels, and ditches, work with heights (60-foot ladders/scaffolding) and be part of an on-call rotation.
