Title: Director of The Imago Dei Center

Description: The Director of The Imago Dei Center is a 12-month position, reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Life, that plays a vital role in enhancing student thriving and success at Grove City College. As a member of the Student Life and Learning Thriving Team, the Director will focus his/her efforts on work with the College’s international and non-majority student populations. The Director’s primary responsibility will be to serve as a campus leader who exemplifies and pursues a Biblical vision of unity and Jesus Christ’s restorative work in the world. Pursuant to that core responsibility, the Director will be tasked with planning and carrying out programs that celebrate students’ cultural heritage; aiding international students and students of color in their transition to the College and helping them connect with the broader campus community; providing ongoing support and encouragement to this particular student population through a commitment to radical hospitality and continuing presence; facilitating intentional opportunities for students to engage with other cultures and historical events; and serving as the College’s Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) within the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Requirements: A strong personal faith, commitment to Christ and His Church, and a Biblical worldview is required. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs or related field preferred. Previous experience in international and students of color support services is preferred.
The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication ability, strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills, organizational acumen, analytical skills along with a desire to work on a high-impact, energetic, collaborative team. The candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting student and employer needs, and be able to maintain a professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude. Finally, the individual should be aligned with the overarching Christian mission of the college and office.
