Your senior year is a busy time – completing academic pursuits, extracurricular involvements, planning for life after GCC, and socializing with the many friends you’ve made during these past four years. Before you know it, you’ll be processing in your cap and gown on the Quad to the music of “Pomp and Circumstance” with your fellow classmates! Listed below are important dates and information to assist you and your family in planning ahead for this exciting time.
Jostens will be in the Bookstore in the Breen Student Union taking orders for class rings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 15-16. No pre-registration is necessary.
We anticipate each student will receive three tickets for the Arena and four for the Simulcast in the IM Room for a total of seven tickets.
Barring extreme weather, the College is committed to holding both ceremonies outdoors even in the face of light rain. Should either or both ceremonies be forced indoors all guests will need to present tickets to be seated. Seating will open at 5:45 p.m. on Friday for Baccalaureate and at 8:45 am on Saturday for Commencement regardless of location.
Those without tickets may view the ceremony via live-stream in the Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center.
Please note both events will be live-streamed on our website for grandparents and others who cannot attend.
Feel free to share this information with your family so they can begin to prepare. More details will be provided in a February 2023 communication.
A complete list of area hotels for your convenience can be found here. Please don’t forget to make your reservation early should they be needed.
