Your senior year is a busy time – completing academic pursuits, extracurricular involvements, planning for life after GCC, and socializing with the many friends you’ve made over the past four years. Before you know it, you’ll be processing in your cap and gown on the Quad with your fellow classmates to the music of “Pomp and Circumstance!” Listed below are important dates and information to assist you and your family in planning for this exciting time.
Baccalaureate – Promptly at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13
Commencement – Promptly at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14
Barring extreme weather, the College is committed to holding Baccalaureate and Commencement outdoors. If a ceremony needs to move indoors all guests will be required to present a ticket in order to gain entry. We anticipate each student will receive 3 tickets for the arena and 4 for the Simulcast in the IM Room for a total of seven (7) tickets. Those without tickets may view the ceremony via live-stream in the Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center. Please also note both events will be live-streamed on our web-site for grandparents and others who cannot attend.
Feel free to share this information with your family so they can begin to prepare. More details will be provided in a February 2022 communication.
Find area hotels for your convenience. Please do not forget to make your reservation early if needed.
