Science association recognizes Brenner’s contributions

Dr. Fred J. Brenner, professor of biology at Grove City College, was elected as a life member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for his contributions and leadership in science.

Brenner is an elected fellow of both AAAS and the Ohio Academy of Science. He has served as president and on the executive boards of five different scientific organizations including the American Association of Academies of Science.

Brenner currently serves as the president of Regional Science Consortium based at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie, Pa., regional vice president of the Beta Beta Beta biological honorary society and on the editorial boards of three scientific journals.  Brenner has published extensively in scientific journals and co-edited 14 books on a variety of environmental topics.
