Princeton Review: Grove City College ‘pays you back’

Grove City College is a college that pays you back, according to The Princeton Review.

The College’s focus on delivering a top quality education at an affordable price earned it a place as one of 200 schools with a national reputation included in The Princeton Review’s just-published Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck. Grove City College features stellar academics, affordable tuition and strong career prospects for graduates, according to the college preparation and testing company.

“Extraordinary value is a great way to describe a Grove City College education. The combination of excellent faith-based academics with amazing affordability sets us apart in the world of higher education,” College President Paul J. McNulty ’80 said. “We’re grateful that once again The Princeton Review has recognized this success.”

The Princeton Review used 40 weighted data points – everything from academics, cost, financial aid, and student debt to statistics on graduation rates, alumni salaries and job satisfaction – to select the schools that it “considers the nation's best for academics, affordability/financial aid, and for getting their graduates out the door to satisfying and rewarding careers.” More than 600 top colleges and universities were evaluated. Grove City College has been identified as a school that pays you back since the ranking was created.

The company also factored in data from PayScale.com surveys of alumni of the schools about their starting and mid-career salaries and job satisfaction. Grove City College graduates see an average starting salary of $50,200 and average mid-career compensation of $101,200 per year, according to PayScale, which identifies the College as a Best Value National Liberal Arts College.

“Only seven percent of the nation’s four-year colleges made it into this book,” Robert Franek, its lead author and The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief, said. “These schools were bona fide standouts for the return they deliver on one’s college investment. They offer stellar academics, generous aid awards to students with need and/or merit, and provide all of their undergrads with career services from day one plus a lifetime of alumni connections.”

Grove City College is also included in Princeton Review’s 2018 382 Best Colleges guide.
