Do you feel like you made any concessions to come to a school that is reasonably priced?
I made no concessions to come to Grove City as the reasonably priced tuition was an added bonus when looking at academics, community, and college life as a whole.
How is faith incorporated in the classroom?
In the Education program, we were often challenged to view Jesus as the Master Teacher, using how he taught and worked with others to better our own teaching practices.
How would you describe the level of academics you have experienced during your time at GCC?
The level of academics at GCC pushed me to not only to work harder but to also depend on those around me. Through my studies, I gained knowledge about content and practice, but also learned how to better work in a group.
What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?
The professors are one of the greatest resources that exist at GCC. They not only have a great knowledge of the content, but genuinely want you to succeed and will help you in many different ways to do that. I felt very comfortable visiting professors during office hours for assistance and guidance through the rigorous academics at GCC.
What advice would you give to an incoming student?
My advice for an incoming student is that your experience at GCC is what you want to make it. The professors, residence staff, and leadership want you as an individual to succeed, so be sure to use the resources at hand to make the most of your time and leave with a lasting impact.
Describe your experience with dorm life at GCC, particularly freshman year.
Dorm life at GCC laid the foundation for friendships that have lasted beyond college for me. I randomly chose my freshman year roommate and we are still friends today, along with many other guys on my hall in Memorial. After freshman year, I joined a fraternity and lived with the brothers of Beta Sigma. Being able to take a step out of your room and hang out with some of your best friends is something that I miss dearly. I feel like if I did not live on dorm halls each year, I would not have had such a full college experience.
