I have been working as an internal consultant in the HR department at Marriott International's Corporate Headquarters (Bethesda, MD) since July, 2008. Specifically, I work in Talent Management, Analytics, and Solutions - a department staffed with all I/O professionals. I am supporting and leading several talent management, employee staffing, and job analysis projects for Marriott's management-level employees. I have helped develop employee assessments (regarding their competencies, skills, and motivation to lead organizational changes), constructed a lot of surveys, and been involved in several research studies to determine the return on investment of our organization-wide HR initiatives (e.g., training programs, employment selection tests, etc). In May, 2008, I received my M.A. in industrial/organizational psychology and human resources management at Appalachian State University, in Boone, NC.
