Open houses for prospective students set for fall 2022

A series of open house events  this fall at Grove City College will give prospective students and families an opportunity to take a deep dive into one of America’s most distinctive Christian liberal arts and sciences colleges.

The open houses range from the general interest Senior Preview Days to major and discipline specific events throughout the season for Education, Music, and STEM programs.

“We want students and their families to discover the value of a Grove City College education and an open house is one of the best ways to find out if a college or university is a good fit,” said Lynise Massella, Assistant Director of Admissions Events and Visits. “At Grove you can follow your calling with other motivated students who are pursuing truth freely under the guidance of world-class faculty mentors in a Christ-centered, academically excellent community.”

At Senior Preview Day on Sept. 17 and Nov. 12, students can explore more than 60 major programs in the arts and letters, sciences, music, business, and nursing, meet exceptional faculty, learn about the Career Services Office – currently ranked fourth in the nation by The Princeton Review – and financial aid options, tour the beautiful Olmsted Brothers-designed campus, enjoy a meal on campus, and be immersed in the vibrant campus community.

Other fall 2022 open houses focus on specific areas of study:

  • STEM Discovery Day on Oct. 8 highlights opportunities in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, exercise science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, nursing, and physics.
  • Music Major Day on Oct. 10 allows students to visit classes, observe instrumental and choral rehearsals, learn about music majors and minors that range from performance to the music business, the College’s many and diverse ensembles, and performance opportunities.
  • Education Major Day on Nov. 5 provides students interested in elementary education, special education, middle level education, secondary level education, and K-12 teaching licenses access to one of the top education programs in country, including alumni teachers making a difference in public and private schools nationwide.

All open houses feature meetings with faculty, campus tours, financial aid information, on-campus dining, and a wonderful opportunity for students and families to find out for themselves if Grove City College is the right fit.

In addition to open house events, prospective students can schedule personalized visits on Made-to-Order Mondays or by appointment. For more information, visit the Office of Admissions at Grove City College online at gcc.edu/info/visit, call 724-458-2100, or email visit@gcc.edu.
