What are the main focuses of your research?
Quantum magnetism: the strange emergent phases when the electron spins become highly quantum entangled with each other. We probe this with neutron scattering experiments and mathematical modeling.

SSFT (Studies in Science, Faith, and Technology), as it combines my three main interests: science, philosophy, and Christianity.
In your opinion, what is the most important piece of advice you give your students to help them succeed?
Have an attitude that says, “I don’t understand this, but I can figure this out.” Taking that attitude through life will open so many doors for you and allow you to learn and master skills you never thought possible.

I was assistant captain of the debate team while a Grove City College student.
