Grove City College hosts Winter Jazz and Christmas Concert

The Grove City College Department of Music will provide “cool” music at the 12th annual Winter Jazz and Christmas Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.

The concert will feature the Grove City College Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band performing a number of traditional Christmas tunes, as well as a variety of big band, popular and jazz favorites. The Christmas music will include "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Silver Bells," "Carol of the Bells," "God Rest ye Merry Gentleman," "Joy to the World," “Silent Night” and other traditional holiday favorites. In addition to the cool sounds of the ensembles, the audience will be treated to a spectacular array of Christmas motion lights in a stunning visual and aural experience.

The Grove City College Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band are under the direction of Dr. Joseph M. Pisano ’94, director of bands and professor of music.

The concert is free and open to the public. Free parking is available. Doors open at 7 p.m.
