College raises record $75 million, boosting financial aid

Grove City College raised a record-breaking $75 million over the last year that will make tuition more affordable through increased financial aid, improve the student living experience, expand athletic facilities, and more.

The total raised for the 2025-26 fiscal year that wrapped up in July well exceeded the previous year’s record-setting $52.6 million.

“Raising $75 million this year is both an extraordinary achievement and a reminder of the responsibility to steward this generosity well. I’m deeply grateful to our alumni and friends whose belief in Grove City College made this possible, and to our advancement professionals, whose service is critical in this area,” Grove City College President Bradley Lingo ’00 said.

The announcement comes as the College enters Phase II of Impact 150: The Anniversary Campaign for Grove City College, a multi-year fundraising effort to address top campus priorities and ensure a solid financial foundation for the future. Named in recognition of the College’s sesquicentennial this year, Impact 150 began with an initial goal of $185 million, which is being increased thanks to the success of fundraising so far.

“We’re expanding the campaign goal because we see even greater opportunities ahead. Through Impact 150, we can strengthen financial support for our students, extend the College’s impact, and ensure that Grove City’s distinctive mission flourishes for generations to come,” Lingo said.

Under the expanded goal, the College is now seeking $55 million more for need- and merit-based financial aid, which more than 70 percent of students receive in the form of College- and donor-sponsored scholarships. In Phase I, Impact 150 generated more than $90 million for aid and saw the completion of a $48 million renovation of the Smith Hall of Science and Technology.

Beyond student financial aid, Phase II priorities include a major overhaul of Lincoln and Hopeman halls, a pair of men’s dormitories that were built in 1941 and 1950, respectively, the construction of a new baseball field and athletic center, and building support for a new lower campus fieldhouse to support Wolverine student-athletes.

Fundraising is crucial to Grove City College surviving and thriving. The College accepts no federal funding and relies on tuition, the generosity of a large and committed base of supporters, and wise stewardship of its resources to deliver an academically excellent, affordable, and Christ-centered living and learning experience for students. Keeping tuition affordable requires an enormous amount of support from private individuals and donor-advised funds.

The College has seen consistent, year-over-year increases in fundraising, a signal of growing support and validation of our commitment to academic freedom and institutional autonomy in an era of uncertainty and chaos in the higher education space.

“We have been blessed by the support of thousands of individuals who love the College and what it does and want to invest in its future, not for their own benefit, but for the benefit of students today and generations in the future. We are eternally grateful,” said Jeffrey Prokovich ’89, vice president for Advancement.
