College kicks off sesquicentennial with Celebrate 150

Grove City College’s 150th anniversary celebration will kick off with Celebrate 150, a musical tribute and historical retrospective at 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Music Hall.

The evening will feature Grove City College music ensembles, alumni and faculty soloists, and a program illuminating the nationally ranked private Christian college’s history of faith, freedom, and educational excellence. A gala reception will precede the concert.

“We’re planning an evening of celebration that will unite alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends, honor our history, and inspire tomorrow’s promise,” Melissa (Trifaro ’96) MacLeod, senior director of Alumni and College Relations, said.

Alumna and Erie television news personality Lisa (Adams ’78) Gordon will emcee the event. College President Bradley J. Lingo ’00 and Board Chair Edward D. Breen ’78, executive chairman of DuPont, will also speak.

Tickets are still available for the musical tribute and reception. For more, visit gcc.edu/Celebrate-150. The deadline to register is March 6.
