On the evening of Sept. 28, the Chinese Club and other interested students traveled to Pittsburgh to see a performance put on by Taiwan Acrobatic Troupe. This troupe features talented, young artists who depict traditional Taiwanese culture in an engaging, modern performance filled with acrobatics, dance, martial arts, and even some comedy.
The first half of the performance portrayed rural Taiwan while the second half portrayed some Taiwanese temple fair parade formations. Students watched incredible acts like hoop diving, spinning blankets, diabolo juggling, plate turning, human pyramids, and many more.
This performance was an amazing opportunity for students to not only to watch magnificent artists but also to experience some of the fascinating Taiwanese culture.
