Grove City College alumna Carolyn Augspurger ’12 recently completed her Ph.D. In Contemporary Irish Political History at Queens University in Belfast. Her dissertation is titled “Unionism, Faith, and Minorities: A Political Biographical Study of Sir Douglas Savory, M.P.”
Augspurger graduated summa cum laude with high honors in history from Grove City College and minored in French and political science.
While at Queens she also published an article titled “Is There a Case for an ‘Official Opposition’ at the Assembly?” in Queen’s Political Review.
Augspurger plans to pursue an academic career and is currently doing post-doctoral studies at Queens and working on publishing other articles in scholarly journals.
