Kittel & Co.’s music inhabits the space between classical and acoustic roots, Celtic and bluegrass aesthetics, and folk and jazz sensibilities. The band is comprised of Kittel, a multi-instrumentalist formerly of the Grammy-winning Turtle Island Quartet, mandolin phenom Josh Pinkham, transcendent guitarist Quinn Bachand, bassist Jacob Warren, and hammer-dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman.
The members of Kittel & Co. coalesce into a singular voice that’s thrilled audiences from the Telluride Bluegrass Festival to A Prairie Home Companion. Their song “Chrysalis” was nominated for a Grammy.
Together and separately, band members are some of the greatest musicians in the incredible acoustic scene and have collaborated with musicians spanning many genres, including Béla Fleck, Sarah Jarosz, Chris Thile, and Yo-Yo Ma.
