Captivated by the beauty and goodness of the God of the gospel, the Redbox Global Outreach program holds the vision of the worldwide mission of the church. At the heart of the GO program is the final command of Jesus to his disciples before his ascension, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20 ESV).
As a part of the program, five to eight students are equipped to serve on a summer-long cross-cultural mission trip each year. Students in the program select where they will spend their summer and can participate in traditional mission projects or vocational ministry by serving alongside of international Christian workers in their field of service to bring the gospel of hope to the nations. Redbox GO students receive sponsorship and training from the College as they plan for their summer ministry.
Upon returning to campus, Redbox GO participants share their cross-culture ministry experience through Chapel services and mission-related programming. Since 1975, Redbox GO volunteers have served across more than eighty nations as an extension of God’s kingdom blessing into all the world.
“As I reflect on my GO mission experience, I learned more in those two months than at any point in my life. The biggest takeaway from the summer is how amazing Jesus is and I am very thankful that God’s love is not something we have to earn, rather it is a free and undeserved gift; in this, the reason to faithfully share the Good News with humility and love.” — Jake Santis ’23

Exemplifying Christian service, servant leadership, and unity, Grove City College students travel to destinations throughout the United States, and beyond, developing ministry partnerships with local churches to minister as a reflection of the light of God’s love into a world of need.
Serving alongside various ministry partners, Inter-Community Outreach (ICO) teams have served at food pantries, homeless shelters and clothing donation shops, worked on construction projects, assisted with youth ministry, led Bible studies and worship services, as well as brought encouragement and support to pastors and local church congregations. Each ICO trip is initiated by students and student led. With a dozen ICO trips occurring annually, during fall break, Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break, the College provides training and resources to the leaders of each approved trip.
“ICO Guatemala, for me, was my first introduction to international, short-term missions. Working with at-risk children, serving in the local Guatemalan community, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the native K’iche people were all eye-opening and blessed experiences. Seeing the pure joy on the children’s faces as our team played games with them, cooked meals, and share Jesus with them (in Spanish) is something that will stay with me forever.” — Brad Pietryga ’12
