There is a $50 cancellation fee, and no refund if cancellation is less than three months prior to the date.
Two ceremonies per Saturday are available with a three-hour reservation allotted for each. The first scheduled ceremony will determine the second three-hour allotted wedding schedule.
A one-hour rehearsal time is provided the day prior to the wedding date. The rehearsals are assigned at 6 or 7 p.m. during the academic year and 5, 6, or 7 p.m. during the summer months.
If the rehearsal begins late due to the late arrival of the wedding party, the time allotted will be shortened accordingly. The rehearsal must end and the chapel must be vacated by the original scheduled time.
At rehearsal, the couple should delegate usher to seat guests, lay the crash (aisle runner), remove clothing and personal possessions from the chapel after the ceremony, order in which the bridesmaids will process, and which groomsman will be paired with which bridesmaid. Selection of music must be made prior to the rehearsal.
A wedding hostess will be present to assist only as requested at the rehearsal and ceremony; therefore, no external wedding director or consultant is necessary.
The wedding party will have use of the Chapel and the Bride's Room within the three-hour allotted reservation. This includes the flower delivery and decorating (please note that furniture and other fixtures in the Chapel may not be moved).
The Bride's Room is located in the narthex of the Chapel, and the bride and her attendants may dress there. The ushers and clergy may dress in the Choir Robe Room off the chancel area.
Restrooms are located on the lower level of the Chapel and on each side of the chancel area. Smoking, food, and drink are prohibited in the Chapel at all times.
To protect the beauty of the grounds and for environmental considerations, the releasing of balloons or birds is prohibited, and no rice, confetti, birdseed, or other materials may be thrown in the Chapel or on the Chapel grounds.
It is the responsibility of the couple to ensure that all personal property is removed from the Chapel premises immediately following the ceremony. Please ensure arrangements to remove flowers, candles, and decorations from the sanctuary immediately following ceremony.
If time permits, by decision of the wedding hostess, the wedding party, parents, and clergy may return to the chancel area for photos. Within the three-hour time designation, the wedding party, guests, florists, and photographers must be clear of the chapel and grounds, and all automobiles must be removed from the premises.
Please note that Grove City College is not responsible for lost items.
