As the major information center on campus, Henry Buhl Library provides outstanding resources to support the educational and research objectives of students and faculty alike. Library collections are current and relevant, as well as historical, and represent a variety of intellectual perspectives. Through the use of books, e-books, online journals, reference databases, and multi media materials, students and faculty are provided with the tools and technology necessary to excel academically during their time at Grove City College.
Buhl Library strives to expand the learning potential of students by facilitating classroom presentations on research skills and library resources, offering one-on-one research assistance at the help desk, and utilizing hbl.gcc.edu as an extension of library services and information literacy initiatives.
Buhl Library
The library is named in memory of Henry Buhl Jr., a leading merchant and philanthropist of Pittsburgh, who was a member of the College's Board of Trustees from 1898 until his death in 1927. The building honors Buhl's long and faithful service as a trustee and recognizes the generous contribution made by the Board of Managers of the Buhl Foundation toward the construction of the library.
The Writing Center provides students with a space to gather, write, or seek one-on-one counsel and feedback from advanced student writers.
