Princeton Review: GCC is a Best College in America once again

Grove City College is one of America’s best colleges, according to the latest release of The Princeton Review’s influential annual guide to the nation’s outstanding colleges and universities.

Inclusion in “The Best 387 Colleges” places Grove City College among the top 15 percent of the nation’s higher education institutions. The educational testing and prep company’s guide, which was released Tuesday, looks at a variety of student-centered metrics, including cost, value, academics and quality of life.

"We salute Grove City College for its outstanding academics and we are genuinely pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their ‘best-fit’ college,” said Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief and lead author of the guide.

The Princeton Review also identified Grove City College as a “Best Northeastern College” and a “Best Value College” based on a combination of institutional and student survey data, including academic rigor, affordability and career outcomes for graduates, to name a few.

The College’s Career Services Office, which Princeton Review ranked 8^th in the nation last year, and intramural sports programs are included in the guide’s “Great List” feature, which highlights outstanding performance in key services and areas of college life. The Princeton Review’s famed top 20 lists, which are based on student surveys, are on hiatus this year due to the pandemic that forced many students to take classes remotely during the 2020-21 academic year.

Outstanding academics, interesting professors, Christian community, high quality campus life and an unwavering focus on students’ ability to flourish are among the factors most valued about Grove City College by students, according to The Princeton Review.

The guide affirms that many students are attracted to Grove City College because of its Christ-centered learning and living environment. “The low cost of tuition is just gravy, as is the strong alumni network and ‘really good reputation with employers,’” according to The Princeton Review.

Grove City College has the lowest tuition of any private college in the state of Pennsylvania at $19,310 for the 2021-22 academic year. Graduates have a 96-percent success rate, based on career and graduate school placement six months after graduation. Alumni earn higher than average starting ($59,700) and mid-career ($113,500) salaries, according to PayScale.
