Hollenberger for its Program Director Academy. Hollenberger, who has directed the College’s CSWE-accredited Social Work program since 2023, was invited to join peers from other institutions participating in the Academy. “The Program Director Academy promises to be a valuable opportunity to improve Grove City College’s ongoing efforts to develop a strong faith-based Social Work program. The ultimate beneficiaries of this work will be our students,” Hollenberger said. “I’m looking forward to learning from experienced administrators, gaining practical tools for leadership success, and networking with a cohort of academics committed to advancing educational excellence.” The year-long Academy program kicks off this month with a Virtual Summer Leadership Institute that brings new and experienced program directors together to share perspectives, strategies, and insights and to develop administrative skills to improve student success. The overarching goal of the Program Director Academy is to help professionals navigate the complexities of social work program administration and discover leadership strategies and resources focused on faculty management, assessment, curriculum oversight, student support, and building an effective program culture. “Participants will form connections with fellow program directors from institutions across the country, building a supportive community of peers who are committed to advancing social work education through strong and effective leadership,” according to CSWE. Grove City College’s Bachelor of Social Work program offers a degree that equips students for effective and compassionate social work in a variety of professional practice settings. Students have access to real-world field experience and research opportunities, passionate faculty mentors, and a robust curriculum grounded in the conviction that every individual has great value and potential to flourish as an image-bearer of God.
