GCC offers reduced rate on summer online courses for 2020 grads

Grove City College is doing its part to keep a higher education affordable and accessible by offering students who graduate from high school this spring a one-time only reduced rate on summer online courses.

Rising college freshmen can take classes in the College’s two summer online sessions for the same cost as dual enrolled high school students, a rate that represents a 70 percent reduction on the regular price. The cost per credit hour under this special program is just $165.

Students already accepted at Grove City College can begin enrolling in the summer courses at a reduced rate on May 1 along with dual enrolled high school students. All other 2020 high school graduates can begin registering for online courses at the reduced rate on May 15.

The summer online savings program is just one way that the nationally-ranked Christian liberal arts and sciences college is working with students and families to reduce the overall cost of education, create an even greater return on tuition investment and jump start earning college credits before enrolling.

Online coursework enables students to earn college credit during two distinct summer session periods. The summer online program has the potential to significantly reduce the overall cost of a four-year degree and accelerate progress to graduation and workforce readiness. Grove City College credits may be transferable to other institutions dependent upon the policies of the receiving institution.

A wide range of summer offerings from the College’s more than 60 degree programs is available online, including courses in astronomy, accounting, business, computer science, design, education, engineering, exercise science, humanities, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology, social work and writing.
